I am a rugby photographer. By the very nature of being a photographer, my work is copyrighted the moment I press the shutter. Yes, my work has been pirated/stolen/etc. Does this mean I want my government to “protect my rights” by creating this legislation? No.
Let me put it bluntly…
I am a constituent in California. If the member of Congress/House supports this bill and I am your constituent, I will vote against you. Period. It will not matter if I voted for you (which I have – go look) in prior elections, I will no longer support you or your agenda.
If your corporation supports SOPA/PIPA, I will not support you with my money. Period.
I trust I’ve made myself clear.
If you’d like to fight with me to oppose these bills, please go to OpenCongress.Org and voice your opposition. If you are a Non-USA citizen, see this Reddit page.
Thanks.
